If you ask me what one of my top beauty tips is, I will always say, "fill in your eyebrows." Gorgeous, full eyebrows do wonders for your face. They are the frame for all your features. Example: Camilla Belle above - eyebrow perfection. Seeing thin, over-plucked eyebrows on an otherwise lovely face makes me legitimately sad.
I've often mention my love for this
brow definer, but I'm almost out so this past week I've been using two other products that I've grown to love and I knew I had to share.
First up, Per-fekt Beauty's Brow Perfection Gel
This light, smudge-resistant formula looks incredibly natural on. It gives brows a gorgeous, full look by filling them in and keeping them in place. I applied it in the morning and it stayed-put through sweaty subway rides and mid-day eye-rubbing (sooo sleepy this week). The mascara-wand-like applicator could not be easier to use. When I first pulled it out of the tube I was nervous that it would be too heavy and noticeable when using a brush like this, but the formula is light and mousse-like. As an added bonus it contains antioxidants and beneficial extracts. I genuinely love this product and you cannot tell that you've filled in your brows which is essential. No one wants that "I-drew-on-my-brows" look! (Just FYI: I use the caramel color)
Secondly, The Body Shop's Eyebrow Definer Pencil
This is another fabulous product I *accidentally* bought last week when The Body Shop was having a buy one, get one half off sale on makeup (still going on online, by the way). I picked up t
his stunning shadow palette, too, my fave! Moving right along, this brow pencil was such a great find. The key to filling-in brows and making them look natural is using a quick motion to create short lines that resemble hair. This slim pencil makes that so easy. The color is very natural looking as well. Despite the fact that it is a pencil, the formula is powder which keeps it from looking harsh and means you don't have to worry about smudging and blending to soften your pencil strokes. Also, surprisingly for a pencil, this brow filler stays-put all day.
Both of these are fantastic options if you're less than eager to experiment with a gel formula and an angled brush. Plus, these formulas give such a natural look that even brow beginners can expect gorgeous results.
