Attention, ladies! Thick eyebrows are “in” again.

No longer do you have to obsess over waxing, lazers, threading, and plucking to a pencil-thin arch.

A more robust brow is a trendy, must-have look for 2012. A strong eyebrow can add a touch of simplicity and elegance IF your brows are well-groomed.

The biggest mistake one can make with their brows, regardless of how thin or thick they are, is letting the brows become unruly.

So, make sure that you have a nice shape to your brows, keep them trimmed…and at all costs, please avoid a unibrow! (This is a look that will NEVER come back into style! Another look that needs to find its way out of the public eye? Shaved brows that are re-drawn on. No. No. No.)

A great brow is an important part of your overall look and even make you look younger. You’d be surprised at what shaping & enhancing your brows can do for your already-beautiful face…it’s like magic!

Some tips to keep in mind:

• Tame those brows!! Brush the eyebrow hairs straight up with a mascara-style brush or special eyebrow brush, and trim any too-long hairs or hairs that are growing straight down.
• Find the shape of your brow by visiting an eyebrow consultant at your favorite reputable salon or brow expert. To do it yourself:
• • To find the beginning of your eyebrows: Take a brush or pencil, place it on top of your nose and then extend it over the inner corner of your eye. Where the brush or pencil hits the eyebrow, that is the point where the eyebrow should begin.
  • To find the arch of your eyebrows: Starting point is always the tip of your nose. Place the brush or pencil on top of it, now extend it over the pupil of your eye towards your brow. Where the tool meets the brow, there is where the arch should be.
  • To find the end of your eyebrows: Place the brush or pencil on your nose and extend it over the outer corner of your eye. Where the tool meets the brow is where the end of your brow should be.
• You can use a brow pencil to outline the shape of the brows and fill your brows in to add definition and shine with a clear or tinted brow gel, wax or powder. Anastasia, the queen of brows, makes a great brand that is sold in many beauty stores.
• Just because you have light eyebrows doesn’t mean that they should be left untamed! Get those brows in check, regardless of how non-existent they may be! You may want to even play around with defining them with a brow pencil — they can add expression to your face!
• Don’t keep up with your brows as much as you should? Try getting bangs that hide your eyebrows a bit — no one will ever notice
