Review: NYX Eye/Eyebrow Pencil in 901 Black | Blog | FlauntMe

I always like trying out new eyeliners. Mainly pencil liners because I like how they look on my eyes and they’re probably the easiest to use for me. This time, I tried out NYX’s Eye/Eyebrow Pencil in 901 Black.

NYX has changed the name for their product, but considering the fact that they have the same shade for the Slim Eye Pencil, I took it’s description instead:

Slim, trim but never prim, our Slim Eye Pencils come in 40 entrancing shades—from seafoam green to black glitter. The creamy, long-wearing eye liner formula goes on easily and resists bleeding.

Here’s a swatch of the pencil:

I am pretty amazed by the fact that this eyeliner glides on so easily since it’s not a cream-based product! The black is pretty dark, so if you wanted that super dark carbon black, you’ve got it here. You can also make really really thin lines with this pencil if you keep it sharp enough. You can also use this pencil eyeliner as an eyebrow pencil as well, but since it is dark black and wouldn’t really match with my natural hair colour, I don’t really use it for the purpose–it does blend well into your eyebrows though because I tested it out.

Overall, I like this eyeliner a lot! The only thing that I don’t like about this is the fact that it’s not waterproof. This eyeliner will smudge quite a bit and it won’t really work well on your waterline. It does however go on really nicely.

Score: 3.5/5

If you wish to purpose this particular product, it is unfortunately not sold anymore. But no fear! NYX has another product out that is quite similar for $3.50 here.
