What Eyebrow Shaping Can do For Your Look | Sonhar e Conquistar

Eyebrows are often left out of daily preening and priming. Eyebrows are like a frame and they pull the whole picture or face together. Bushy eyebrows take a lot away from an otherwise immaculately done face while a neat pair of them make one look well put together even if they do not go all out with makeup. And even if eye makeup is used and the eyebrows are unkempt, something still seems amiss.

Eyebrows should not be too bushy or too thin. They should be curved in a way that enhances your eyes and compliments the shape of your face. It is best to have a professional beautician do them first. They would create an attractive and befitting curve that you can then maintain at home.

In the salon, shaping will be done by threading or tweezing. Threading gives results that last longer and the look is neater. Thread is looped tightly through the fingers of the beautician and the tension is used to sweep away the overgrown hair. With tweezers, the hair is simply pulled out.

Do not overdo them until only a very thin line is left. This adds years to the face and even filling in with an eyebrow pencil gives one a permanently surprised look. On the other hand, eyebrows that are bushy and thick give an immediate impression of not caring about ones appearance and they also take away attention from other features that may be well done.

When using tweezers at home, take hair away only above and below the arch. Do not pluck inside the line. You will most likely end up with gaps in between which also look odd. Even if the gaps are filled in with eye pencil, they will still look uneven.

When using an eye pencil to fill them in, use a colour that is the same as their natural colour. Use light, feathery strokes and not lines that are dark and obvious. Blend using an eyebrow brush afterwards for a natural look. Choose a brush with bristles that are short and firm. When tweezing to maintain the shape, do so after a warm bath or shower. The pores are open and hair is easier and causes less pain to pluck out.

If you will use tweezers at home in between eyebrow shaping at the salon, use them after a warm shower. Steam opens up the pores so that hair is pulled out more easily and with less pain. If ever eyebrows will be raised, let it be in admiration of your neat, well-shaped pair.
